一個號稱iWatch的專利

其實，Apple在申請這個專利時，專利名稱並不是叫iWatch，而是內容看起來像手表，而被該網站稱為iWatch，至於Apple以後會不會有個產品叫做iWatch，就只有Cook知道啦。
根據USPTO的公開資料顯示：該技術是把觸控式彈性顯示器，以反光手環技術，貼合在使用者的身體部位，開機後，就能藉由藍芽或Wi-Fi連接其他的行動裝置，在完整貼合手腕的彈性顯示器上顯示即時資訊。
這個專利的名稱為：具有彈性螢幕的雙穩定彈簧，雖然看不到任何跟watch有關的字眼，但是從專利說明書上卻可看出雙穩定彈簧則將以薄鋼製成，幾乎能使用在身體任何部位，處於捲曲狀態或包覆在使用者手臂上時，手環上的螢幕能以不間斷形式呈現。
